The Gutenberg Teaching Council (GTC) aims to promote the involvement of students in teaching, research, and artistic expression through student conferences. Student conferences do not need to have a specified format. The students are responsible for the organization of the conferences and also decide on their content. The conferences provide participants with the opportunity to share their own knowledge and to get new insights. Consequently, they are not only an essential element of students’ academic or artistic activities but also complement the students’ individual academic education.
In addition to the exchange of subject-specific information, participants will also gain initial experience of conference and publication activities, while having the opportunity to practice their own organizational skills.
- All students enrolled at JGU (with the exception of doctoral candidates) can apply for student conference funding. Arrangements for the implementation of a conference must have been approved by the relevant faculty prior to submission of the request for funding.
- The maximum funding amount is € 2500.
- Please note the application deadline for the winter semester (May 15) and summer semester (December 1).
