The JGU Gutenberg Teaching Council is headed by an Executive Committee, supported by an external Academic Advisory Board.
With the approval of the JGU Academic Senate, the University President appoints the members of the GTC Executive Committee. It consists of members of the university whose extensive commitment and excellent performance in the field of teaching have been recognized in the form of awards – such as the State Teaching Award – and/or outstanding evaluations by their students. Furthermore, students from different academic disciplines who have a record of excellence complete the GTC Executive Committee.
The GTC Academic Advisory Board consists of five excellent tutors from other national and international academic institutions. It follows the work of the Gutenberg Teaching Council, advises its Executive Committee, and receives the annual statement of accounts of the GTC Executive Committee.
